Halloween

Backing up here to Halloween to show you the girls' choices in costumes for this year. As you can see, Annika was a clown, and Taylor was Batgirl.

Here are the girls and their friend Kade at "Safety Town". This is a little miniature city they built at the fire station. The kids are in the safety house, it's actually a small house with a second floor, the kids had to climb out of the window like you would do if the house was on fire.

Mason, Annika, Taylor, and Mattie, waiting for Trick or Treating to begin!

Here are some of the neighbors that the kids go trick or treating with every year. We travel in one large group, and the kids have alot of fun!

And here's my fleur-de-lis pumpkin

Oh, I'll leave you with a story. As you know, Annika is stubborn. So on the night that we went to Safety Town with our neighbor Kade, we went out to eat afterwards. Kade had this neato Spiderman mask that required 3 tiny batteries to make it light up. (tiny, like the size of a pencil eraser). Well Kade's mask somehow fell to the floor at the restaurant, and the batteries popped out. We all looked all over the floor for those batteries, and we couldn't find them. Well the kids played around in the gameroom for a little while, while the grownups finished eating. We drove home, Annika fell into a deep sleep on the way home. We carried her into the house, brought her to the bathroom, and we had to put her in the bathtub to wash the clown makeup off of her face. Mark washed her off, put on her pj's, and we finally noticed that her fist had been clenched tight for awhile and we pried it open. Well what do you think was in her little sweaty palm??? The 3 batteries!! She held on those things at the restaurant, while sleeping on the way home, in the bath, through putting on pj's, well over an hour, probably two. And she had seen us searching all over the floor for them at the restaurant! She is something.
